Retaking the narrative

Ok, so after a nice sleep and some yoghurt, I'm ready to go again.

I couldn't believe it when I got told about taking more bus 2 pictures for this by other staff members.

Ummm...I'm on bus 1. It must have been early for all of us. :)

So the day started on the ferry, as I've mentioned. We did a walking tour of the financial district, including ground zero, which really isn't as emotional as it has been in the past. The memorials are mostly gone at this point, and everything is in full fledged construction mode. We then went to St Pauls cathedral, where a few memorials still exist. Following that, we walked over to the South Street Seaport, where a contortionist was thrilling the crowd most of the afternoon.

We then boarded the bus for a walking tour of Greenwich Village, where the apartment exterior from "Friends" thrilled a lot of people. We then headed to Chinatown, where the aforementioned shopping took place.

Dinner at La Mela was nice enough - but as I said, I missed Puglia's this year. I was counting on some chicken parm, instead of just a pasta dinner.

Following that, we boarded the bus for the hotel, returning just before nine.

Almost hard to believe that took a whole day.

I'll work on pictures later - gotta head for the bus for today's adventures.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop.
Sounds tiring but exciting.

Sounds like that there has been lots of shopping (shoes,purses..ect)going on.
The kids appear to be having a ton of fun soaking up everything the "Big Apple" has to offer. Looking forward to hearing about today's adventures and the pictures that complete the story. Cecelia Dursley
