Just came back up from breakfast, watching in awe as the Fruit Loops and Donuts took a serious working over, as I sadly chewed my dry wheat toast. Oh, to have a young stomach again.
Most of the kids seemed to be up, and if not exactly bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, they're moving and seem reasonably well-rested...except for Shaq. I heard something about 2:30 mentioned - I hope that isn't when they decided to go to sleep - if so, that room is gonna be in rough shape today, especially with the heat they're calling for.
The security guard reported that all was quiet, and I'm definitely sensing a different tone on this trip as compared to last year. Apart from some...inappropriate.....t-shirts that we've asked some boys not to wear again on this trip, we haven't had to confiscate a thing - by this time last year I had numchuks in my luggage.
Jersey Gardens was an experience - quote of the day for yesterday - "I've never shopped so fast in my life." We had just under two hours there, and based on the number of bags making their way back to the hotel (including my five) I think some fairly serious shopping was done. I know I was on a mission.
So - to sum it up - we're having a terrific time, the behaviour is off the chart (in a good way), and the excitement level for our first tour seems high.
Here's to a great day today!

Hey Jill! Hope you had a great Day 2! Don't forget, you don't have to spend all of the money you brought! Heard Steph has a problem with her calling card, she can use your cell phone.
Hope you got some sleep!
Have a blast today - I'm so jealous of the shopping! Say hi to The Donald for me if you see him on Wall Street. And don't forget to give Jeff's regards to Broadway.
All is well on Wooster Wood, Mickey slept in your bed and keeps wandering the house wondering where you are!
Take care love,
Mom
